As a dedicated referral centre, we are committed to provide high quality endodontic and implant care. We offer a first-class service for both the patient and their primary dentist. For patient care, we have developed a centre of excellence with facilities, equipment and medical expertise.

MEET THE TEAM
   
Dr. Liang attended the University of British Columbia and received his Bachelors degree in Microbiology in 1981 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1983. At graduation, was awarded the Canadian Oral and Maxillo-Facial Prize for highest standing in the area of Oral Surgery.
He received his Diplomate credential from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry in 2004
 
Dr. Liang is a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry , Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology , Fellow of the Misch Implant Institute and Honoured Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry .
He is the founding director of the Canadian Dental Implant Training Centre .
 
Currently Dr. Liang is the Director of the  AAID Vancouver MaxiCourse , a 300 hour dental implant training program, affiliated with the UBC continuing dental education department.  He has held his general practice, the Smile Dental Implant Center in White Rock/South Surrey since 1983 and his daily practice activities centers around adult restorative and implant dentistry.

Dr. Leslie Wang

Dr. Wang was born in Taiwan and she is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese. Her dental training was completed at the University of Pennsylvania whereupon graduation, she received the American Association of Endodontists Student Award .

Her two-year endodontic residency was completed at the University of Southern California , Los Angeles, where she was the program’s chief resident.

Dr. Wang’s residency research gave her the opportunity to become a co-inventor for “Plasma dental probe for root canal sterilization”, which is patent pending with the USPTO. This research project received a 2008 AAE research award in table clinic.

Dr. Wang is a Certified Specialist in Endodontics and board-eligible for the American Board of Endodontics .
Dr. Wei Qian
   
Dr. Qian received his dental education in West China University of Medical Sciences in Chengdu, China.  In 1997 he graduated with a D.M.D. and a Master degree. He continued to pursue his residency training and doctoral study in the same university. After graduation in 2000 with Ph.D in oral science, he moved to Beijing to work in Beijing Municipal Dental Hospital for 3 years as a dentist. Dr. Qian immigrated to Vancouver with his wife and did his postdoctoral training at the University of British Columbia. In 2008, he was enrolled in the endodontic graduate program at the  University of British Columbia  graduating in 2011.
 
Dr. Qian is involved in several professional organizations including Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada , member of the American Association of Endodontics , Canadian Academy of Endodontics and British Columbia Society of Endodontics .
 
He is an author and co-author of fifteen articles published in peer-reviewed journals; co-author of a chapter in the textbook of Ingle’s Endodontics 6th and 7th edition. He is also co-inventor of root canal disinfecting and cleaning solution “ Qmix 2in1 ” which is manufactured and distributed by Dentsply.
 
He has been clinical instructor for 5 years at the Graduate Endodontics Program, Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia.
 
Dr. Qian is a Certified Specialist in Endodontics and board-eligible for the American Board of Endodontics .
 
He is fluent in Mandarin and in his leisure time, he enjoys travel, photography and DIY projects.
    
Dr. Jonathan Tsang
   
Dr. Tsang attended the University of British Columbia where he studied mathematics. In 2008 he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. He received further training at the University of Southern California for certification to provide intravenous sedation. 
 
Dr. Tsang is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry , an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry , and current President of the Fraser Valley Cast Gold Study Club . He is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry , the Canadian Dental Association , and the British Columbia Dental Association .
Using his training to give back to the community has always been of importance to Dr. Tsang and he has provided volunteer community dentistry in Canada, the United States, and even as far as Haiti.  
 
He is an avid believer in continuing his education and participates in over a hundred hours of extra courses each year on top of being an active member in several study clubs. In 2011 he graduated from the AAID Vancouver MaxiCourse , one of the most well-respected and comprehensive international training programs in implant dentistry.
